DALLAS - Dallas ISD's 2020 Bond program transformed campuses across the city with safer, more modern, and tech-ready learning spaces. During the recent State of the Bond event, district leaders celebrated the completion of more than 250 projects - ranging from new schools to upgraded labs and athletic facilities - and highlighted the 2020 bond's role in creating over 57,000 local jobs. As the $3.54 billion investment continues to shape the future of education, the district is already exploring the next phase of growth through its Citizens Bond Steering Committee.

John Lewis Social Justice Academy building dedication
John Lewis Social Justice Academy at Oliver Wendell Holmes will celebrate the dedication of its new $80 million campus at 6 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 11. The state-of-the-art facility in West Oak Cliff features preserved historic elements, and fosters collaboration with features such as a makerspace classroom, expanded learning areas, and even a courtroom chamber. The school name dedication honors civil rights activist and Congressman John Lewis.
