TACOMA - An online open house focused on improvements for State Route 7 is now live.
Now through Tuesday, Sept. 1, people can go online to learn more about potential improvements to SR 7 through Spanaway and Parkland. As part of a future paving project, the Washington State Department of Transportation is looking for ways to make SR 7 easier to use and more reliable for all travelers.
WSDOT is also hosting an in-person open house at Spanaway Middle School on Wednesday, Aug. 19. Drop by anytime between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. to learn more, ask questions or leave comments with WSDOT. The same information will be available both in-person and online.
Public feedback from both open houses will be incorporated into recommendations that will become part of the paving project. Recommendations should be finalized by December.
