Traffic Advisory: Las Olas Triathlon April 19

The Las Olas Triathlon will take place on Sunday, April 19 at Esplanade Park in Fort Lauderdale.

The following traffic advisory will be in effect on Sunday, April 19, from 4 a.m. to 12 p.m.:

  • Northbound A1A will be closed from Las Olas Boulevard to Oakland Park Blvd
  • Las Olas Boulevard will be closed from Seabreeze Boulevard to A1A

Although Fort Lauderdale Police Department personnel will be posted along the event route assisting and monitoring pedestrian and vehicular traffic, anyone commuting in the area should anticipate moderate congestion and possible delays.

Motorists will encounter intermittent road closures at the following locations:

  • East Las Olas Boulevard and Seabreeze Boulevard
  • East Sunrise Boulevard and North State Road A1A
  • Oakland Park Boulevard and North State Road A1A
  • The median lane in both directions of North State Road A1A will be closed from Oakland Park Boulevard to the 4900 block of North State Road A1A.
  • No northbound traffic on North State Road A1A from East Sunrise Boulevard to NE 23rd Street.
