The Small Business Development team proudly produced and staffed the highly successful City Connect: Legal Lift for Small Business event at the Raleigh Convention Center. In partnership with Smith Anderson, this dynamic, full-day event drew over 80 local small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs seeking to strengthen their business foundations and legal knowledge.

Designed to demystify complex legal and financial challenges, the event featured expert-led sessions on business formation, tax strategy, accounting, employment law, intellectual property, data protection, funding strategies, and succession planning. Attendees also benefited from a City-hosted panel luncheon highlighting local small business resources, as well as a resource expo featuring key ecosystem partners. Thank you to all who attended!
