Join SGFD for Fire Service Day on May 11

The San Gabriel Fire Department is celebrating Fire Service Day on Saturday, May 11 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. by hosting an open house at San Gabriel Fire Station 51 located at 1303 S Del Mar Ave. This free event is open to families, friends and visitors who are interested in getting a "behind-the-scenes" look at the fire department and the important work they do. During the event, visitors can meet our firefighters, take a tour of the fire station, and witness live demonstrations of fire suppression techniques, sidewalk CPR, and disaster preparation presentations.

The kids will also get a chance to inspect the bright red fire trucks up close. Free hotdogs and chips will also be provided to all visitors. In addition, visitors can explore community booths featuring our San Gabriel Police Department, the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), and other local organizations.
