On April 18, 2026 the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Sergei Lukashevich, took part in the solemn ceremony of laying the memorial Alley in Minsk as part of the "SCO Green Belt" Programme to mark the 25th anniversary of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

Participants of the event, dedicated to the Republican cleanup day, were, along with representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, heads and employees of diplomatic missions of SCO member states accredited in our country.

Thirty trees, symbolizing the unification of efforts and creative work based on the principles of the "Shanghai Spirit, were planted in Yablonevy Square near the All Saints Memorial Church".

In his welcoming remarks, Sergei Lukashevich, emphasized the importance of the event as a landmark event in the context of the SCO anniversary celebrations, reflecting the contribution of all member states to ensuring environmental protection, creating comfortable conditions, and improving the quality of life in communities within the "Shanghai family".
