Ministers Dukaj, Matias agree on new phase of Montenegro - Portugal strategic cooperation

During his official visit to Portugal, Minister of Public Administration Marash Dukaj met with the Portuguese Minister of State Reform Gonçalo Matias. The meeting was also attended by the representative of the Delegation of the European Union to Montenegro Orlando Fusco.

The meeting focused on improving bilateral cooperation, with a special emphasis on signing the Memorandum of Understanding in the field of digital transformation. Both sides confirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation, focusing on accelerating digital transformation and modernising public administration in accordance with European standards.

The two officials also discussed the application of artificial intelligence, implementation of the eIDAS 2 regulation and the development of a digital wallet, the areas in which Portugal is one of the European leaders.

Minister Dukaj pointed out that the partnership with Portugal further strengthens reform processes and contributes to building an efficient administration tailored to citizens.

Minister Gonçalo Matias highlighted Portugal's willingness to provide expert support and share concrete solutions which accelerate digital transformation.
