Tuberville Applauds the Trump Administration for Moving the U.S. Coast Guard’s Land-based Training Facility to Birmingham-Southern

WASHINGTON - U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) issued a statement applauding the Trump administration's decision to move the U.S. Coast Guard's land-based training facility to the former Birmingham-Southern College campus.

"I'm thrilled that President Trump and Secretary Noem have selected Birmingham-Southern as the new land-based training facility for the United States Coast Guard," said Sen. Tuberville. "This move will save the American taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars. Alabama and the Coast Guard are a natural partnership. Alabama is already home to every branch of the military and we have the infrastructure, resources, and personnel ready to make sure our United States Coast Guard continues to be elite."

Senator Tommy Tuberville represents Alabama in the United States Senate and is a member of the Senate Armed Services, Agriculture, Veterans' Affairs, HELP and Aging Committees.
