Explore the Trails at Los Vaqueros: Adventure Awaits!

The Los Vaqueros Watershed offers opportunities for hiking, cycling, horseback riding, and more - perfect for enjoying a day outdoors. To the west, Los Vaqueros connects with neighboring open spaces like Morgan Territory and Round Valley, expanding your options with even more scenic trails to explore.

Before you head out, a little planning goes a long way. We recommend reviewing trail maps in advance - especially if you're venturing across multiple properties - and starting your adventure earlier in the day to give yourself plenty of time. Cell service can be spotty in some areas, so take note of where emergency call boxes are located before you set off.

Be sure to double-check which trails are designated for your activity. Some trails are reserved for hiking only and may be unsuitable for bikes or horses. Staying on the right trail and staying on trail helps protect the environment and ensures a safe experience for everyone.

Also, as a reminder: a few trails remain temporarily closed to protect nesting golden eagles in the area. Please check current trail conditions before your visit to ensure you're aware of any closures or changes.

Our goal is to help you have a safe, enjoyable day on the trails. With a bit of preparation, you'll be ready to make the most of everything Los Vaqueros has to offer. Learn more about current trail conditions and safety tips.
