Spain: Cotton and Products Crop Outlook 2026

For the MY 2026/27, Spain's cotton area planted is projected to stay at similar levels as in the record-low setting MY 2025/26, which registered the lowest level in cotton plantings in almost three decades. Despite the large availability of water for irrigation, the disappointing farm gate prices disincentivized cotton plantings expansion.
