Croatian Academic and Research Libraries Consortium Signs Open Access Agreement with Wiley

Wiley's first agreement in Croatia will support scholars across 37 institutions

HOBOKEN, N.J. - January 23, 2024 -Wiley, one of the world's largest publishers and a trusted leader in research and learning, today announced a new one-year open accessagreement withthe CroatianAcademic and Research LibrariesConsortium, which consists of 37 institutions, beginning on January 1, 2025.

This represents Wiley'sfirst open accessagreement in Croatia. It will provide scholars from participating institutions with reading access to Wiley's journal portfolio and enablesresearchers to publish open accessin Wiley's complete portfolio of nearly 2,000hybrid and fully gold open accessjournals.

Alisa Martek, Library Advisor at the National and University Library in Zagreb commented that "National and University Library in Zagreb supports open accessas one of the most important pillars of the open science initiative. It recognizes the importance for the Croatian academic and scientific community to publish and access research in open access, particularly in the most relevant journals, such as those published by Wiley".

This OA agreement with Wiley ensures broader access to high-quality research and enhances the visibility and impact of Croatian scientific output globally.
