Missouri Farm Bureau (MOFB) has hired Theodore Rieckhoff as the organization's director of marketing and commodities. Rieckhoff most recently worked for the Missouri Senate and at Bartlett, where he partnered with producers to implement sustainability initiatives and specialty programs across the Midwest and the Carolinas.
"Theo brings a unique combination of firsthand farming experience, agricultural policy knowledge and a passion for serving Missouri agriculture," said MOFB President Garrett Hawkins. "His background in agribusiness, legislative affairs and production agriculture will serve our members well as he works to strengthen markets and identify opportunities for Missouri farmers and ranchers."
A graduate of Missouri State University, Rieckhoff previously interned with MOFB as a state legislative intern and with the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service. He also has been an active participant in MOFB's Young Farmers & Ranchers program.
Rieckhoff, his wife, Makenna, and their son, Henry, live on the family farm near Sweet Springs, where they raise livestock.
Rieckhoff begins his tenure at MOFB on July 1.
