Zoo Lane from 1st to Chestnut will be closed Aug. 19 to Oct. 30
Zoo Lane, between 1st Street and Chestnut Avenue, will be closed to through traffic from Aug. 19 to Oct. 30, 2026, for utility work related to a stormwater capture and diversion project at the Santa Ana Zoo.
During this time, please plan accordingly, follow detour signage, and note the following tips:
- To access Chestnut Avenue from 1st Street, please use Lyon Street.
- To access the Santa Ana Zoo, please use Chestnut Avenue.
Access to the apartments on Zoo Lane will not be impacted.
