Meeting of the Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia with the Coordinator of FAO and the Regional Director of UNEP
26 March, 2026On March 26, in Andorra, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Robert Abisoghomonyan had a meeting with Arnold Kreilhuber, the Regional Director of the UN Environment Programme's Europe Office and Julia Wolf, the Coordinator of FAO for Mountain Partnership Secretariat.
During the meeting, the interlocutors commended the cooperation established between Armenia, UNEP and FAO, reaffirming shared commitment to further enhance it.
Views were exchanged on the potential avenues of collaboration within the 17th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity, to be hosted by Armenia later this year. The importance of reaching tangible results in this direction was stressed. The prospects of conducting joint initiatives and cooperation with UNEP and FAO in the lead-up and within the framework of the COP17 were discussed.
