PokeBot V7.01 -- an event exploring the "weird, wild and wonderful side of tech" at the University of Wyoming is scheduled from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, April 29, at the Make.IT Makerspace, located in the Information Technology Building next to the residence halls.
The fun-filled free public evening event features student-made tech projects, strange inventions and innovative builds from across campus. Free snacks and refreshments will be provided.

Featured UW student-led projects and demonstrations for the event are:
-- UW Robotics Club demonstration. The student-built rover is UW's entry into the University Rover Challenge with Mars Society. Demonstrating the rover are electrical engineering majors Devin Clyde, a junior from Gillette; and Zach Nelson, a junior from Casper.
-- Olivia Buss, a junior from Laramie majoring in social studies education, "Crochet: The 3-D Printing No Machine Can Do."
-- Austin T. Cassel, a senior from Green River majoring in electrical engineering, "Simultaneous Measurement Digital Multimeter (SM-DMM)," a multi-voltage and current display; and a "Simultaneous Measurement Digital Multimeter (SM-DMM)," a custom multi-voltage and current display tool for serious makers.
-- Riley Murdock, an anthropology major from Pinedale, "3D Printing for Tabletop Games: Building worlds one mini at a time."
