2026 Sir Walter Raleigh Awards Call for Nominations Open
The Sir Walter Raleigh Awards honor remarkable new contributions that enhance the character, environment, and visual appeal of Raleigh. Nominations for the 2026 Sir Walter Raleigh Awards will be open from Monday, April 13, through Monday, May 11 at 11:59 p.m. This is your opportunity to recognize projects and individuals that have contributed to exceptional design within our city. Anyone can participate by using the online nomination form, and each submission must include 10 digital photos of the project.
Since 1983, the Sir Walter Raleigh Awards for Community Appearance have been awarded by the Raleigh City Council to acknowledge projects that improve the city's character and environment. Over 200 awards have been presented to developers, designers, building owners, community groups, civic clubs, churches, and citizens.
