Winnipeg, MB- At 4:38 a.m. on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to reports of a fire in a three-storey apartment building in the 400 block of Burrows Avenue.
Upon arrival at the scene, crews found heavy smoke in the building. Firefighters entered the building and launched an interior fire attack, declaring the fire under control at 5:25 a.m. The fire was contained to the suite of origin.
Occupants of the building safely evacuated. No injuries were reported. The City of Winnipeg's Emergency Social Services team was activated to provide temporary support to displaced residents.
The fire is under investigation. Damage estimates are not available.
