Temporary Service Reduction

For Immediate Release
January 6, 2026

Metro Transit is temporarily reducing service on Route A1 and Route B to allow for necessary repairs to our bus fleet. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to our riders and will make all efforts to make the interruption as brief as possible. For the time being, Route A1 and Route B will be reduced to 30-minute service throughout the day. This is a temporary measure and we are working swiftly to correct it.

Metro Transit strictly follows the highest safety standards. Scheduled maintenance and mandatory inspections, coupled with some unexpected fleet repairs, have caused a temporary shortage of buses. However, performing these repairs now will help minimize service disruptions in the future.

Again, we apologize for this inconvenience to our customers.

Riders can stay informed by signing up for Metro Rider Alerts. Watch for canceled trips in Metro's bus tracker or on third-party apps like Google Maps and Transit. Also, feel free to contact our customer service staff with any questions.
