(Riley County, KS - July 18, 2025) Riley County will no longer offer driver's license services at the Treasurer's Office after August 29, 2025. Starting in September, residents will need to visit the Kansas Department of Revenue Division of Vehicles full-service office at 8200 South Port Drive, off HWY 24, for license renewals, ID cards, and driving tests.
The Riley County Treasurer's Office will continue providing motor vehicle registration and property tax payment services.
The decision to discontinue driver's license services at the Treasurer's Office was part of a budget discussion with the Board of Riley County Commissioners. This change represents a cost savings measure which allows the county to avoid filling a vacant position and reduce overlap with services already provided by the state.
