Tuftonboro Man Indicted for Possessing Fentanyl Analogue and Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute

CONCORD - Tuftonboro resident Justin Trudeau, 27, was indicted by a federal grand jury yesterday for possession with intent to distribute 100 grams or more of fentanyl analogue and 50 grams and more of methamphetamine, U.S. Attorney Erin Creegan announces. Trudeau will appear in federal court in Concord on a later date.

If convicted, Trudeau faces a mandatory minimum prison term of 10 years and a maximum prison term of life, a maximum fine of $10,000,000, or both. Sentences are imposed by a federal district court judge based upon the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and statutes that govern the determination of a sentence in a criminal case.

The details contained in the indictment are allegations. The defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.

The Drug Enforcement Administration led the investigation with valuable assistance provided by the Hillsborough County Street Crimes Task Force. Assistant U.S. Attorney Mike Shannon is prosecuting the case.
