Foreign Ministry issues recommendations to Mexicans regarding the situation in Lebanon
  • Mexican nationals currently in Lebanon are advised to leave immediately on the commercial flights still available. All other Mexicans are urged to avoid travel to the country.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in coordination with the Mexican Embassy in Lebanon, reports that the escalating armed conflict in Middle Eastern countries has significantly increased security risks. In response, the embassy has established ongoing communication with Mexican nationals listed in the Registration System for Mexicans Abroad (SIRME) and the consular section's database.

The Mexican Embassy in Lebanon has conveyed the recommendations and security advisories issued by Lebanese authorities, which have become increasingly urgent since April, and have reached critical levels.

Given these circumstances, the Ministry strongly advises all Mexicans currently in Lebanon to leave immediately, using available commercial flights. The Ministry also strongly recommends that Mexican citizens avoid any travel to Lebanon.

The following emergency numbers are available for those requiring consular assistance:

From within Lebanon: 03 044 598

From abroad: +(961) 3 044 598

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through its embassy in Lebanon, will continue to monitor developments closely to provide consular protection to Mexican nationals as needed.
