Lancaster Celebrates 250 Years of America with a Week of Patriotic Events, Community Traditions, and Summer Festivities

Lancaster, CA. June 11, 2026 - The City of Lancaster invites residents and visitors to come together in celebration of America's 250th anniversary during a weeklong series of patriotic events and family traditions taking place throughout the City from June 29 through July 5.

"America's 250th anniversary is an opportunity to celebrate not only our nation's history, but the communities that continue to shape its future," said Mayor R. Rex Parris. "This week of events reflects the historic occasion by bringing our community together to celebrate our shared history, our freedoms, and the people who make our City such a special place to call home."

The weeklong celebration will feature some of Lancaster's most popular community events, including Monday Night Bites, Cool Summer Nights, The BLVD Market, Summer Concert Series, Summer of Soccer watch parties, the Antelope Valley Chamber of Commerce 4th of July Parade, the City's annual 4th of July Extravaganza, and Flight & Freedom Drone Light Show at the AV ALTA FC Match.

Festivities begin on Monday, June 29, with Monday Night Bites and a Summer of Soccer watch party at Sgt. Steve Owen Memorial Park™, creating an opportunity for residents to gather, enjoy local food vendors, and celebrate the spirit of community that has long defined Lancaster.

The celebration continues throughout the week with Cool Summer Nights at Forrest E. Hull Park and The BLVD Market on The BLVD, where residents can enjoy Summer of Soccer watch parties, local vendors, family-friendly activities, and live entertainment. The BLVD Market will also feature the Summer Concert Series, featuring Abrakadabra, creating additional opportunities for friends, families, and neighbors to come together and celebrate summer in Lancaster.

On Independence Day, the community is invited to participate in a historic new tradition. For the first time ever, the Antelope Valley Chambers of Commerce will host a joint Fourth of July Parade spanning the Antelope Valley, bringing communities from across Palmdale and Lancaster together to celebrate America's 250th anniversary.

Following the parade, residents are invited to continue the celebration at the Antelope Valley Fairgrounds for Lancaster's annual 4th of July Extravaganza, featuring family activities, food vendors, live entertainment, a special performance by country music group LANCO, and a spectacular fireworks display honoring 250 years of American history, freedom, and opportunity.

The celebration concludes on Sunday, July 5, with a Flight & Freedom Drone Light Show at the AV ALTA FC Match presented by the City of Lancaster at the Lancaster Municipal Stadium. The event will feature pre-game family activities, community recognition, a drone light show, and an evening of soccer that highlights the power of sports to unite people across backgrounds, generations, and cultures.
