The Woodson Elementary School playground in Grand Boulevard would be replaced through $900,000 in Tax Increment Financing (TIF) assistance proposed to City Council today by Mayor Brandon Johnson.

Funding for the project at 4414 S. Evans Ave. would be provided through the 43rd/Cottage Grove TIF District. TIF would cover the entirety of project costs.

The City's TIF program uses new property tax growth within designated districts to support public and private investment within their boundaries.
