Greetings to the staff and veterans of the Burnazyan Federal Medical Biophysical Centre

The message reads, in part:

"Founded in 1946 to address vital state tasks concerning medical protection and radiation safety for workers in the domestic nuclear industry, your Centre has traversed a long, eventful and successful path, developing into one of the country's leading multidisciplinary research and clinical institutions.

Building on the legacy of outstanding scientist, physician and healthcare organiser, founder of radiation medicine Avetik Burnazyan and on the rich traditions established by his colleagues and students, today you conduct promising fundamental and applied research, achieve outstanding results in biophysics, radiobiology, nuclear medicine and radiopharmacy, and develop advanced, genuinely innovative methods of diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation that are widely applied in practice.

A fitting recognition of the merits of several generations of the Centre's staff, and of their contribution to the advancement of science and the introduction of innovative technologies, has come in the form of a high state decoration - the Order of Pirogov - which is being presented to your team as part of the anniversary celebrations.

I am confident that your talent, professionalism and devotion to duty and calling will continue to help you serve the people and the Fatherland with dignity."

The President wished the staff new achievements, prosperity and all the very best.
