Rep. Dr. Arlene Beckles Welcomes USTA Girls’ 12 National Championship to Gwinnett County

ATLANTA - State Representative Arlene Beckles (D-Norcross) welcomes the United States Tennis Association (USTA) Girls' 12 National Championship to Gwinnett County from August 9 - 15, 2026. The tournament brings more than 125 of the nation's top tennis athletes ages 12 and under to Norcross, Ga., which will be hosted at Hudlow Tennis Center.

"As a proud resident of Norcross, I am thrilled that our community has the opportunity to welcome young athletes from across the country," said Rep. Beckles. "This tournament is about so much more than tennis. It is about giving young people the opportunity to compete, build confidence, develop lifelong friendships and see what is possible when they believe in themselves."

Rep. Beckles notes that the championship provides an opportunity to showcase Gwinnett County and the City of Norcross as destinations for youth sports, tourism and economic activity. She further notes that families, coaches and supporters traveling to the area will experience local restaurants, businesses, hotels and attractions throughout the week.

"Every young athlete deserves the opportunity to dream big and have access to the resources, mentors and communities that help turn those dreams into reality," added Rep. Beckles. "When we invest in our children, we are investing in Georgia's future."

"Having secured this event for the next three years is a tremendous honor and a testament to the hard work of our entire team. This tournament brings together some of the brightest young talent in the sport, and we're proud to provide a stage where these athletes can compete at the highest level, while showcasing everything our facility and community have to offer. Representative Arlene Beckles represents the citizens of District 96, which includes a portion of Gwinnett County. She was first elected to the House of Representatives in 2024 and currently serves on the Special Rules, State Properties and Technology and Infrastructure Innovation committees.
