Ciscomani Wraps Up District Work Week Focused on Delivering Results for Arizona’s Sixth District

Tucson, AZ - U.S. Representative Juan Ciscomani today wrapped up another busy week of back-to-back events in Arizona's 6th Congressional District, highlighting the federal funds he's secured for critical community projects, meeting with constituents and speaking at a naturalization ceremony for new American citizens.

The congressman saw firsthand how the funds he's secured through the congressional Community Project Funding program will benefit Huachuca City, Benson, and Marana by supporting key public safety, health care and transportation projects.

He also met with students from underserved communities who received scholarships from the Lapin Sunshine Foundation and presented certificates to recipients of the American Dream Inspirational Educator Awards at the Casa Grande Union High School District.

"The best part of the job is meeting and connecting with constituents and hearing directly from the people I have the privilege of representing," said Rep. Ciscomani. "From spending time in Huachuca City, Benson, and Marana to discuss the critical funding preliminarily secured for their communities, to attending community events in Sierra Vista, Casa Grande, and Oro Valley to celebrate the exceptional people that make up our district, this work week was especially productive. From my first day in office, I have focused on delivering real results for Arizona's Sixth District through means such as Community Project Funding and meaningful partnership with local leaders and groups. I'm grateful for the opportunity to hear directly from the people of our district, and I look forward to continuing to turn their priorities into results."

Rep. Ciscomani has preliminarily secured $1.3 million for Huachuca City Fire Department, $2 million for Benson Hospital, and $3 million for improvements to the Marana Traffic Interchange. Each project would greatly benefit the surrounding communities and provide much-needed support by responding to unique local needs and priorities.

As the only member of the Arizona delegation who is an appropriator, Rep. Ciscomani has fought to secure critical funding for local communities throughout his time in Congress. The funding he has preliminarily secured for Huachuca City, Benson, and Marana are among a total of $42.7 million for 20 Community Project Funding (CPF) requests for Fiscal Year 2027 (FY27), building on the $60 million he secured for 28 CPFs between FY24 and FY26.

This week, the congressman also attended Pinal Partnership's monthly breakfast to discuss federal funding and toured the Chiricahua Community Health Center in Benson, which plays a vital role in delivering critical health care to the local rural community. Additionally, he connected with local business leaders at the 2026 SPARK Business Summit.

To round out the week, Rep. Ciscomani attended a naturalization ceremony in Tucson, where he shared his story of becoming a United States citizen 20 years ago and his experience of the American Dream. He also spent time with some of our nation's most distinguished veterans, The Friday Pilots.

The congressman is grateful for the many productive and meaningful conversations had throughout this district work week and looks forward to continuing his partnership with these local leaders and organizations as he works to deliver tangible results for Arizona's 6th District.
