Jack in the Box Statement on Proactive Removal of Lettuce Supply

The safety of our guests is our top priority. At this time, there have been no known illnesses associated with food served at Jack in the Box in connection with the FDA's ongoing investigation of Taylor Farms lettuce.

Jack in the Box restaurants that potentially received affected lettuce were those supplied through our Texas distribution centers, which service restaurants across Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana.

As soon as we learned of the potential issue on Thursday, we immediately notified restaurants to remove lettuce while we transition to a new supply. We worked with our suppliers to quickly replace it with product from an unaffected supply at an alternate domestic facility. We know this may be an inconvenience, and we appreciate our guests' patience.

Food safety has been a core priority at Jack in the Box for more than 30 years. We continue to maintain rigorous food safety practices designed to help ensure our guests can enjoy their favorite meals with confidence.

We will continue to closely monitor updates from public health authorities and our suppliers and will share additional information as it becomes available.
