Mr Orbán recalled: The Czech Republic was struck by a terrorist attack on Friday. Hungary would like to express its support and sympathy to Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babis and to the Czech people. "Unfortunately, with the war in the Middle East, terrorism has emerged in places where we did not expect it," the Prime Minister said.
"Therefore, during the night, I held consultations with our national security leaders, and we have designated the international group responsible for the attack in the Czech Republic as a terrorist organisation," he stated, adding that should any of their members enter Hungarian territory, they will be arrested immediately.
Mr Orbán stressed: "After energy facilities, we have also strengthened security at defence industry factories." He pointed out: "The level of terrorist threat was already raised following the outbreak of the war in the Middle East, and we are now maintaining this heightened state of readiness. Whatever happens, we will protect Hungary and the safety of Hungarian families," the Prime Minister said.
