What's it like to drive a 30-ton ADOT snowplow in some of the most challenging conditions imaginable? I have no idea, but I do know Jerry Turner, an ADOT plow driver who's been keeping our highways safe during winter weather for nearly 30 years.

From our maintenance yard in Mesa, Jerry takes his plow north on State Route 87 (Beeline Highway) when snow is falling or is set to fall. In this episode of On the Road With ADOT, he chats with host Doug Nintzel about what goes into clearing snow and ice from highways. As importantly, he discusses how you and other drivers can help our snowplow drivers do their jobs safely and effectively.
