A man will face court over alleged break, enter and steal offences at two fire stations in the state's northwest in November last year.
In November 2024, officers attached to New England Police District commenced an investigation into two break and enters at fire stations within the region:
Initial inquiries alleged the two incidents are linked.
Police established multiple crime scenes and commenced an investigation into the incident.
Following extensive inquiries, about 10.20am yesterday (Thursday 9 January 2025), police arrested a 36-year-old man at an address on Ryanda Street, Guyra.
Police also seized items believed to be stolen from the two fire stations along with a small amount of an illegal drug which police will allege to be Methamphetamine.
He was taken to Armidale Police Station where he was charged with break and enter house etc steal value less than or equal to $60,000 (two counts).
He was refused bail to appear at Armidale Local Court today (Friday 10 January 2025), where he was refused bail to reappear at the same court on Monday (10 February 2025).
