BANGKA BARAT -- PT TIMAH Tbk's commitment to supporting the empowerment of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) has once again been demonstrated through collaboration with the Department of Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises, and Trade (DKUP) of West Bangka Regency.

PT TIMAH Tbk facilitated the use of company assets in the former PT TIMAH Golf Course area in Mentok, West Bangka Regency, to support the 1447 Hijri Ramadan Bazaar.

The Ramadan Bazaar is scheduled to take place throughout the holy month of Ramadan, from the 1st to the 27th of Ramadan 1447 H, and has been enthusiastically welcomed by MSME players in Mentok and surrounding areas.

As part of the preparation, PT TIMAH Tbk, together with the West Bangka Regency Government, DKUP, the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), and MSME participants, conducted a community clean-up of the former PT TIMAH Golf Course area on Friday (February 6, 2026).

This activity represents a tangible form of cross-sector collaboration in creating a proper and comfortable business space for MSMEs.

The Head of DKUP West Bangka, Miwani, said that the Ramadan Bazaar aims to provide facilities and promotional space for MSMEs so they can remain productive during the fasting month.

"This activity is carried out as part of MSME empowerment through the Ramadan Bazaar, which will run from the 1st to the 27th of Ramadan 1447 Hijri," Miwani said.

She explained that the use of the former PT TIMAH Golf Course land was made possible through coordination and synergy with the company.

"We previously submitted a formal request to PT TIMAH to borrow the location. Alhamdulillah, it was well received, and we also worked together to clean the area along with the Civil Service Police Unit, the Environmental Agency, the Mentok District Government, the TNI, and MSME participants," she explained.

Miwani added that five MSME groups will participate and use the Ramadan Bazaar as a means to increase their income.

One MSME participant, Titin Kurniasih from Tugu Suta MSME, said that her group plans to involve around 12 members to sell a variety of iftar meals.

"We plan to sell various breaking-fast menus such as side dishes, donuts, snacks, cakes, and a variety of beverages. Everything will be available," she said.

According to Titin, having the bazaar in one strategic location will make it easier for the public to find iftar snacks while also helping MSMEs boost their sales.

"During Ramadan, people are always looking for iftar meals. We hope visitors will gather here so they can easily find various menu options for breaking the fast," she said.

She also expressed her gratitude for the support from PT TIMAH Tbk and DKUP West Bangka for providing facilities for MSMEs.

"Alhamdulillah, we are very happy to receive this selling space. Thank you to PT TIMAH, DKUP West Bangka, and all parties involved. Hopefully, this brings blessings and sustenance during Ramadan," she said.

A similar sentiment was shared by Dewi Apriani, an MSME owner from Pelite Mentok. She said that the presence of the Ramadan Bazaar greatly helps small business owners.

"This is very helpful for MSMEs. Hopefully, in the future, MSMEs can continue to grow and progress. Thank you to PT TIMAH and DKUP for providing us with the facilities to sell," she said.
