Meeting with the Special Envoy of the European Union for Afghanistan G.Bertrand
The Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan, Ismatulla Irgashev, held an online meeting with the Special Ambassador of the European Union for Afghanistan, Gilles Bertrand.
During the negotiations, current regional security issues, particularly the situation on the Afghan-Pakistani border, as well as prospects for deepening cooperation between Uzbekistan and the EU, were discussed.
The parties confirmed their mutual interest in continuing a systematic and constructive dialogue on regional security and cooperation issues and agreed to maintain regular consultations.
