Weekly Lane Closure Advisory for the Interstate 85 @ State Route 42/North Druid Hills Project
WHAT: Weather permitting, Georgia Department of Transportation contractors will close lanes around Interstate 85 at State Route (SR) 42/North Druid Hills Road for construction activities.

*NOTES: Work schedule updates can be made daily. Check project web page often for the latest updates. Detour information is shown using redtext.

WHEN/WHERE: Traffic Impacts on I-85 and SR 42 from September 12, through September 22, 2025

Daytime Closures:

Saturday, September 13, and Sunday, September 14, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • One, right lane on I-85 southbound from Clairmont Road to Lenox Road
Closures & Detours:

SR 42/North Druid Hills Road to I-85 southbound (ends at 11 a.m.) (Detour Map)
  • Motorists traveling on SR 42/North Druid Hills Road eastbound to I-85 southbound should use I-85 northbound Frontage Road and Clairmont Road to access I-85 southbound.
  • Motorists traveling on SR 42/North Druid Hills Road westbound to I-85 southbound should use I-85 northbound Frontage Road and Clairmont Road to access I-85 southbound.
  • Motorists traveling on Corporate Drive to I-85 southbound should use I-85 southbound Frontage Road, SR 42/North Druid Hills Road, I-85 northbound Frontage Road, and Clairmont Road to access I-85 southbound.
Monday, September 15, through Friday, September 19, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • One, right lane on SR 42/North Druid Hills Road eastbound and westbound from Briarcliff Road to I-85

Overnight Closures:

Friday, September 12, through Sunday, September 14, 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.
  • One, right lane on SR 42/North Druid Hills Road eastbound at I-85 (ends Saturday)
  • One, left lane on SR 42/North Druid Hills Road on-ramp to I-85 northbound (ends Saturday)
  • Various lanes on SR 42/North Druid Hills Road westbound from Briarcliff Road to I-85
Monday, September 15, through Saturday, September 20, 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.
  • Various lanes on SR 42/North Druid Hills Road eastbound and westbound at I-85
Continuous Weekend Closures:

Friday, September 19, at 9 p.m. to Monday, September 22, at 5 a.m.
  • One, right/left lane on SR 42/North Druid Hills Road eastbound and westbound at I-85
