GW Law Dean Dayna Bowen Matthew Inducted into National Academy of Medicine

GW Law Dean Dayna Bowen Matthew was inductedinto the National Academy of Medicine, one of the highest honors in health and medicine. Matthew is a leader in public health and civil rights law and her research focuses on the social determinants of poor health, disparities in health, health care and the legal solutions that can improve health for all.

She has held key roles advancing public health, including co-founding the Colorado Health Equity Project and advising the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. At GW, she leads interdisciplinary programs connecting law and public health. Her NAM membership highlights her commitment to shaping evidence-based policies that promote better health outcomes for all.
