Prateek Kuhad’s New Album ‘Full Moon Chamber’ Out Today Via Atlantic Records

Prateek Kuhad has released his new album Full Moon Chambertoday, capturing "India's most popular singer-songwriter" (GQ) in a moment of profound transformation - from chaos and inner noise to grounded calm and clarity. "I went through a lot of uncertainty for a couple of years," Kuhad confides. "The music industry changed. A lot changed for me personally as well. But through it all, I ended up finding a part of myself that I had lost. The album follows that arc." Throughout Full Moon Chamber, Kuhad brings a style of songwriting that "elicits incredible empathy" (New York Magazine), expanding the sound that's landed him on the cover of Rolling Stone India and helped him become a headliner at Lollapalooza Mumbai.

Following the album release, next week Kuhad will share an official music video for "You Make It Easy," a standout moment from the 14-song collection. "The first half of the album has some tension, while the second half is more settled," he explains. "'You Make It Easy' is an important song for the album's second half. About how a nurturing relationship can make being your truest self quite easy."

Created between Los Angeles and New York, Full Moon Chamber was co-produced by Kuhad and Nick Ruth (Carly Rae Jepsen, Zara Larsson), who were joined by renowned collaborators including Aaron Sterling (Harry Styles, Lana Del Rey), Sam Ricci (Kendrick Lamar, SZA), Mike Irish (Serpentwithfeet, Masego), Greg Wattenberg (Noah Kahan, John Legend) and Brandon Shoop (Role Model, Dijon). The album continues a musical journey that began while Kuhad was studying at NYU, where he fully immersed himself in folk music and songwriting ("I only listened to Elliott Smith for like a whole year," he recently told Track Star) before finding breakout success back home in India.

First arriving on the international scene with his 2018 EP "cold/mess," Kuhad debuted at #1 on Spotify India. Following up that breakthrough release with "Kasoor" in 2020, Kuhad would become the first independently-released artist to claim the #1 spot on Apple Music's all-genre chart. His full-length collection The Way That Lovers Do arrived in 2022 and earned new fanfare, with "Co2" becoming his most-streamed track ever on Spotify. On its heels, he has headlined sold out tours across North America, Europe, UK, Asia, and the Middle East. Kuhad will continue that momentum later this year, with more international tour dates to be announced soon.
