REMINDER: Darren Bailey's Record Is Pure MAGA

As Darren Bailey tries for a desperate general election rebrand, Illinoisans have no illusions about his long and well-documented record of toxic MAGA extremism.

Bailey has been a puppet for Trump since long before his last failed campaign for governor, pushing dangerous conspiracy theories that the 2020 election was stolen, calling to ban abortion without exceptions for rape or incest, demanding the National Guard be deployed in Illinois, cheering on Trump's tariffs that are hiking up costs, and even calling for his political opponents to be jailed.

Now, as Bailey finds himself stuck in another flailing campaign and tethered to a president whose approval rating continues to plummet as the high costs of his chaos in Washington show no signs of letting up, he's hoping Illinois voters forget about his diehard MAGA bona fides.

"Darren Bailey is as MAGA as they come and his dangerous far-right record and agenda are crystal clear to Illinoisans," said DGA spokesperson Izzi Levy. "Bailey's newfound desire to reinvent himself and run from his past record is an insult to the voters who have rejected him before and look forward to rejecting him again."
