New Blog! Building a More Prepared, Resilient, and Unified Community

Redwood City is strengthening community readiness, with more residents trained, more resources available, and more ways to get involved before the next emergency.

On February 4, Redwood City launched the Spring CERT Academy with 20 participants. Over the last five weeks, participants have completed several Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) modules and learned essential disaster response skills, including fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical lifesaving skills.
