Marshfield Medical Center-Ladysmith awards $100,000 for community health projects

Marshfield Medical Center-Ladysmith awarded $100,000 Friday, split among 13 community organizations for projects that address health inequities in priority areas including alcohol and substance use, behavioral health and health equity.

The Marshfield Medical Center-Ladysmith Community Health Funding Program supports local not-for-profit organizations in Rusk, Chippewa, Taylor and Sawyer counties actively working to develop new ideas or enhance existing projects that improve the health of residents.

Organizations receiving funding are:

  • Indianhead Community Action Agency
  • Hawkins Lions Club
  • The Lighthouse
  • Nature's Edge Therapy Center
  • Rusk County Health & Human Services
  • Rusk County Farmers Market
  • Feed My People Food Bank
  • Ladysmith Lions Club
  • Chippewa County Health Communities
  • Lake Holcombe School District Advisory Team
  • Hope Lutheran Food Pantry
  • Flambeau Forever Foundation
  • Rusk County Veteran Services

"It is important for our hospital to support these organizations and their employees and volunteers who contribute to the wellbeing of our community."
