JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - A resurfacing project is set to begin this week on Route V in Cooper County, Route V in Chariton and Howard counties, Spur 240 in Howard County, and Route E in Howard County, weather permitting. Contractors from Christensen Construction Co., working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, will narrow each roadway to one lane Monday through Friday, during daylight hours, with flaggers and a pilot car guiding motorists through the work zone, while construction is active. All work is projected to be complete by mid-June.

The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission awarded a $2,328,701.68 contract to Christensen Construction Co. at its November 2026 meeting to complete this resurfacing project.
