Next batch of humanitarian aid consisting of electrical equipment was sent to Ukraine

The first part of the latest shipment of electrical equipment, allocated by the Republic of Azerbaijan as humanitarian aid to Ukraine, was dispatched today from Sumgait Technologies Park. The delivery of this assistance is being carried out by the Ministry of Energy in accordance with the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, dated 11 August 2025.

The humanitarian cargo includes nearly 90,000 meters of electrical cables and wires, as well as 25 generators and 7 transformer sets. This first batch, comprising a convoy of 10 trucks, is being sent to support the restoration of sustainable electricity supply in the regions of Ukraine affected by the ongoing war. The aid, valued at 2 million USD, has been organized in response to Ukraine's requests, and additional consignments are planned to be dispatched in the coming days.

It should be noted that Azerbaijan has previously provided humanitarian assistance to Ukraine in the field of electricity supply. Taking into account the current wartime conditions, the total volume of humanitarian aid provided by Azerbaijan to Ukraine - including recovery and reconstruction-oriented support - has already exceeded 44 million USD.
