"Halloween In the Village" Event and Associated Road Closures

ARROYO GRANDE, CA - On Friday, October 31, 2025, "Cheers! Arroyo Grande" will once again host the traditional "Halloween in the Village" event. Due to impacted traffic circulation patterns in the Village as a result of the Traffic Way Bridge Replacement Project, the special event hours for this year will be 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM (formerly 4:00-6:00 PM).

For the safety of all participants, the City of Arroyo Grande will be implementing special traffic control measures on Halloween. No parking will be allowed on East Branch Street between Bridge Street and Mason Street between the hours of 4:30 PM and 6:30 PM on Friday, October 31, 2025. No parking will be allowed at the corner of Mason Street and Nelson Street between the hours of 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM to allow for a safer turning movement for commercial trucks navigating around the Village.

East Branch Street will be closed to vehicle traffic from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM on Friday, October 31, 2025. The intersections and major driveways onto East Branch Street including Short St., the Car Corral, and Nevada Street will also be closed to vehicle traffic. The closures will be "hard" closures reinforced with barricades to help ensure the safety of the children who will be walking throughout the Village.

Drivers are encouraged to use detour routes around the Village from 4:30 PM until 6:30 PM, which include Bridge Street, Nelson Street and Mason Street. A detour and closure map is provided on page two for reference.

Drivers are encouraged to use extra caution and be aware of the trick-or-treaters walking in neighborhoods throughout the city. If we all work together, Halloween can be a safe event for our community.
