Gilbert, Ariz. - In recognition of National Random Acts of Kindness Day on February 17, students in the Gilbert Elementary Kindness & Service Club will create and display kindness posters throughout the Heritage District this month. Posters will appear along Gilbert Road on light poles and parking garages, with possible placements in Veterans Park and Page Park. Students will install the posters on Thursday, February 12, and they will remain on display through February 20 for downtown visitors to enjoy.
In addition, three locations will showcase unique postcards, each designed by students from the Gilbert Elementary Kindness and Service Club, offering people an opportunity to spread kindness by sending complimentary postcards to friends and family. The Heritage District-branded mailboxes will be available at:
Last year's project mailed a total of 330 postcards, spreading Gilbert Kindness to four countries (USA, Canada, Sweden, and England), 37 states, and more than 150 cities. This project aligns with both the Heritage District Placemaking and the Gilbert Kindness initiatives.
