>MMDM loans the L200 and provides food aid to hurricane-stricken areas [Mexico]

Japanese

In November 2020, torrential rain from Hurricane "Eta" hit Tabasco State in Mexico and caused great damage, such as to homes and roads caused by flooding of rivers and resulted in some isolated areas. Approximately 80,000 people were affected by this disaster.

Mitsubishi Motors de Mexico, S.A. de C.V. (MMDM), which is the Mitsubishi Motors' sales hub in Mexico, provided drinks and food to Tabasco people through volunteer employees as its disaster relief support. MMDM also loaned to the hurricane-stricken areas the L200 pickup truck to deliver food aid for approximately 2,000 families.

■From the person in charge at MMDM

After the Eta Hurricane, many families in Tabasco State were affected by not getting the most basic services, like electricity and running water and not having access to food. Therefore we provided assistance to the hurricane-stricken areas by using the resources we have at hand. Our desire as a company is always to offer help to people in need, due to natural disasters or other reason.
