The City of New Orleans today announced that the Department of Public Works (DPW) contractor, Boh Bros. Construction Co., LLC, will temporarily close sections of Kerlerec Street and Chartres Street for milling and paving operations on Monday, April 7, and Tuesday, April 8, 2025. The closures are scheduled to occur between 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. in the following locations:
Full closures of these street sections are necessary to complete the resurfacing work. Streets will reopen to traffic at the end of each workday. During the closures, traffic control personnel and appropriate signage will be in place to safely direct motorists and pedestrians around the work zones. Parking will be prohibited on the streets during daytime construction but allowed at night.
Construction schedules, dates, and durations are subject to change due to weather, equipment delays, unforeseen conditions, utility conflicts, or crew availability.
