Westbound I-94 lane and ramp closures start July 13 in Berrien County

COLOMA, Mich. - As part of the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) two-year, $31.7 million investment to repave I-94 between Coloma and Watervliet, bridge rebuilding is set to start Sunday on westbound I-94 and westbound ramps at Friday Road and M-140, as well as on Hennesy Road.

Westbound I-94 will be reduced to single lane between M-140 and I-196 July 20 - Aug. 4.

Hennesy Road will be closed at I-94 July 14 - Aug. 4.

Jobs numbers:
Based on economic modeling, this investment is expected to directly and indirectly support 302 jobs.

These improvements will provide increased safety and mobility in this area of I-94, which is a significant local and national trade corridor. Closing lanes during this type of work is necessary to provide the safest work area possible for crews and motorists.
