Washington, DC - Congresswoman Claudia Tenney (NY-24) today once again urged the Nobel Committee to award the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize to President Donald J. Trump, following reports of his instrumental role in brokering a peace deal between Israel and Hamas that includes a comprehensive ceasefire and the release of hostages. Tenney is the only Member of Congress to formally nominate President Trump for the 2024 and 2025 Nobel Peace Prize.
For decades, Middle East peace was seen as impossible. Through strength and decisive diplomacy, President Trump secured the historic Abraham Accords between Israel and several Arab nations and laid the groundwork for this week's breakthrough.
"In the coming days, the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize winners will be announced. While there is great work being done around the world, nobody has done more for world peace than President Trump. I have personally nominated President Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize twice, and my current nomination is live now. His leadership has brought lasting progress to one of the most volatile regions on earth, and I urge the committee to recognize his achievements," said Congresswoman Tenney.
The Nobel Peace Prize Committee is expected(link is external) to announce this year's recipient in the coming days.
