Chinese Ambassador to Kenya Guo Haiyan Attends the China-Africa Interbank Association Forum and Delivers a Speech

On April 27, 2026, the China Development Bank and the Trade and Development Bank jointly held a China-Africa Interbank Association Forum with the theme of "Financial innovation for the upgrading of China-Africa economic and trade cooperation". The event was attended by Ambassador Guo Haiyan, Mr. Admassu Tadesse, President and Managing Director of the Trade and Development Bank, Wang Peng, Executive Vice President of the China Development Bank, government officials from the National Treasury of Kenya, representatives of China and African financial institutions and Chinese-funded enterprises. 

In her speech, Ambassador Guo pointed out that finance is a crucial pillar of pragmatic cooperation between China and Africa. The two sides should continue to deepen financial cooperation, promote the early implementation and effectiveness of the FOCAC Ten Partnership Actions, and provide strong support and guarantee for economic and trade cooperation between China and Africa.

The participants engaged in a lively discussion, highly appraised the fruitful achievements made in China-Africa financial cooperation. They expressed their willingness to continue to deepen exchanges and cooperation in the financial field between China and Africa, and jointly promote the continuous deepening and solidification of China-Africa financial cooperation in the new era.
