Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responds to a fire on Kinver Avenue

Released: April 4, 2025 at 9 p.m.

Winnipeg, MB- At 4:50 p.m. on Friday, April 4, 2025, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to reports of a fire in a house in the 100 block of Kinver Avenue.

At the scene, firefighters launched a defensive attack until it was safe to switch to an offensive attack. At the same time, paramedics treated one patient and transported them to hospital in unstable condition. Firefighters declared the fire under control at 8:10 p.m.

The City of Winnipeg's Emergency Social Services team responded to the scene to provide temporary support to displaced residents.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. No damage estimates are available but the home is sustained significant damage from fire, smoke, and water.
