EU Tech Business Offer Kenya

The European Union and Kenya have officially launched the inaugural EU-Kenya Digital Dialogue, significantly bolstering their collaborative efforts in the digital realm.

The newly launched Digital Dialogue is set to function as a structured forum for dialogue where the EU and Kenya aim to discuss policies, foster mutual cooperation and drive innovation in the digital sector, building on existing projects and shared priorities.

The Digital Dialogue will focus on key topics, including:

  • Telecommunications and digital networks infrastructure
  • Artificial intelligence innovation and ecosystems
  • eGovernance including Digital Public Infrastructure

The launch event took place at the EU-Kenya Tech Business Offer Forum, which brought together EU Member States, companies, and development financing institutions. The forum highlighted the importance of digital as a priority within the broader EU-Kenya partnership.

The event was attended by Hon. Mr William Kabogo Gitaū, Cabinet Secretary of the Ministry of Information, Communications & The Digital Economy of the Republic of Kenya, and Renate Nikolay, Deputy Director-General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology at the European Commission.
