Kallie Renner Named Assistant Director of Public Policy

Kallie Renner has been named Tennessee Farm Bureau Federation assistant director of public policy announced Tennessee Farm Bureau Federation Executive Vice President Bryan Wright.

Renner's role will be within TFBF's public policy team where she will focus on environmental, energy and natural resource issues as they relate to farmers and rural communities across the Volunteer State. She will work to ensure farmers have a place at the table regarding those critical issues, specifically ensuring TFBF's has a greater presence and voice when it comes to how agriculture and the environment work hand in hand.

"We are excited to have Kallie join our talented and dedicated public policy team," said Wright. "From her time serving as an intern to her valuable experience the past few years in our nation's capital, she brings a can-do attitude and a love for agriculture that will no doubt be of great benefit to our organization and public policy efforts."

Born and raised in Greene County, Renner grew up on her family's multigenerational beef cattle and tobacco farm. She was active in 4-H and FFA, serving as a Tennessee FFA state officer. After graduating from South Greene High School in 2020, she attended Tennessee Tech University where she majored in agriculture with a concentration in education. While in college, Renner interned with TFBF's special programs division as well as at the American Farm Bureau Federation. After graduating, she has spent the past year and a half working for a congressional office in Washington, D.C. as a staff assistant, legislative correspondent and legislative assistant.

"Having grown up on my family's farm in Northeast Tennessee, my passion for agriculture started at a young age," said Renner. "I'm excited to live out that passion by serving Tennessee farmers and farm families through this impactful organization."

Renner is excited to be back home in Tennessee where she and her fiancé, Keaton Browder, plan to get married next year.
